With a B.Sc(hons) in Geology/Environmental Science and the ability to present science in a no-nonsense manner Jane is the perfect choice for your science project.

Jane’s dissertation for British Petroleum gained her a 2.1 and involved analysing North Sea rock bed samples for their ability to act as an oil reservoir.

Jane was chosen as one of the main presenters for ‘earth & space’ at the pioneering convergence channel NOW TV when it launched in 2003.  The role involved anchoring live science programmes, interviewing guest scientists and scripting web pages.  And there was a memorable trip to Plettenberg Bay, South Africa where Jane broadcast live daily for 4-hours whilst observing the Southern Right Whale in their breeding ground.

In 2004, Jane presented ‘X-perimental’ for BBC1, which was an explosive science show for kids.  From Newtons First Law of motion to the fire triangle she was called upon to make science easily understood and crystal clear.

Having climbed many mountains and rock faces Jane is very much an outdoor girl who loves working on location in any environment and is always up for the next challenge to overcome!
